Dear JYES,
Thank you so much for your support and the fund raiser that was held recently. St. Theresa's Basic School will be the recipient of some of the funds raised that night and we are very grateful for them.
Our first project will be to start a breakfast program for the children at the school -- about 45 children -- so that their physical selves will be healthy enough to learn.
Thanks again..
Sincerely,
Sister Nancy Sullivan;- Cudjoes Hill School
Dear Mr. Clarke and the rest of the group,
Please we beg for your forgiveness for taking so long to say thanks. We the staff and students of the Cudjoes hill school would like to say many thanks for giving us windows and doors for our school. It has been a great blessing to us, for the first time when we have rain we can closed our doors and dont get wet. This is like luxury to us.
We had in our windows and doors for the Easter term in April. We pray that God will bless your organization and that your storbaskets will be overflowing with many blessings.
All the best and God bless you real good.
Yours truly,
Ruth Mclish[ principal]- St. Anne Basic and Primary School
Dear All,
On behalf of the Presidents and members of the Rotary Clubs of Kingston and Oxford, Michigan, I am pleased to advise that after a long process, The Rotary Foundation has approved the Matching Grant for the "Jamaica Yes" Breakfast Feeding Programme for St. Anne's Primary School. This 2-year programme will be 'beneficial to all concerned', one of Rotary's tenets embodied in the 4-Way Test.
Beresford, please accept our many thanks for facilitating this opportunity to contribute to a more loving and caring community.
Mrs. Forrester, as discussed today, it is our intention to have all requisites in place to commence the Programme at the start of the Easter Term, January 5, 2009.
In discussions with Rotarian Lourdes Aragones, Oxford Club's Director International Service, it is proposed that we make every effort to have an official launch of the programme in February 2009, an event she will attend. As agreed, you would initiate plans for this launch with a programme that would include government, School Board and Rotary representatives.
We look forward to continued dialogue and good outcomes as we embark on this programme which will 'build goodwill and better friendships', another Rotary tenet.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Rtn Effiom Whyte
